How much do you charge?
Event pricing is based on a number of variables to include location, season, day of the week, size of party and kind of event. For this reason, we are unable to give specific pricing on our website. Do you provide a written contract?
Yes, It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. We will set an appointment at your convenience to explain and have the contract signed.
Do you require a booking deposit?
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a particular date. The booking fee is deducted from your total amount due. That deposit will vary from 20% to 50% depending on your event.
How soon do I have to let you know if I want to book with you?
Dates book quickly and we cannot hold your date unless you have a signed and binding contract with a deposit. Please note, sometimes a year in advance is advisable for certain dates like Halloween, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Etc. Keep in mind we can also take last minute request (12hrs - 24hrs) as we have plenty of DJ's available for any party.
What music will be played at our event?
All events are tailored to your taste and expectations. Once booked, an appointment will be set up in order to customize your event. Only music that is authorized by the host will be played, unless agreed upon prior to event date.
Do you offer package deals?
We can customize events at your taste. We offer packages that include DJ for 4-5hrs, Lighting, Fog machines and additional entertainement like Mariachis or Flamenco show for more formal settings. What genre of music are available?
DJ Hurricane Rey has all different genres of music. Including, but not limited to: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Pop, Spanish Pop, Spanish Rock, Balads, R&B, Rap, Disco, Hip Hop, Mambo, Reggae, and Techno. If you have a special request for a certain style of music, let us know and we will make sure it will be played.
Do you use professional pro audio gear?
Yes, All of our DJ's use the newest state of the art gear. We have different configurations from floor speakers to tri-pods that are elevated for optimum performance for your event. Amount of gear used depends on many factors like size of location, type of even and number of guests attending your event.
Are wireless microphones available for our use?
Yes, All of our DJ's have wireless microphones that may be used for toasts, announcements, dedications or karaoke.
What is the average set-up time?
We will be at the location at least 1 - 1 1/2 hours prior to the agreed start time that you have contracted us for. Ideally, everything will be in place 20-30 minutes prior to your guest arriving. We do not charge extra for set up fee, this fee is included in our price quote given in our contract.
Do you have a policy on dress code for events?
Our DJ's will dress for ALL events from elegant formal affair to beach luau and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Do you provide backup gear in case of an emergency?
Never take anything for granted. We carry and have readily available our backup system in case something should happen to the primary equipment. For peace of mind, up to this date, we have not encountered any situations in which our equipment has failed. We do carry professional grade equipment!

DJ Hurricane Rey accepts Cash, Cashiers Check, Money Order and Paypal.

Disc Jockey rates vary based on experience level, emcee ability, service to be given, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality. Current rates for the DJ industry vary greatly, ranging from $300.00 to $3,500.00 with an average of $1,000.00 for a 4 hour booking. The best price is not always the best deal, especially when planning a wedding. As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that 98% of brides, in hindsight, would have spent more money on their entertainment and made it their #1 priority.
Full-service disc jockey will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for "4-5 hours". Consultations, music purchasing, editing, preparation, set-up, tear-down, education and other event related projects add up to the overall success of your special event.
